Privacy policy

The calculators collect nothing

Both tools on this site run entirely in your browser. The CPU, GPU, and resolution you select are not submitted to us by the tools or stored in any database — there is no account to create and no form that sends your selections anywhere. Two honest exceptions, both about URLs rather than the tools: the page request itself reaches our hosting provider (see Hosting logs), and if you use a shared result link, your selections are part of that link (see Shared result links).

Shared result links

Our tools offer shareable results: the link encodes the CPU, GPU, and resolution you selected in the URL itself (it looks like index.html?cpu=…&gpu=…&res=…). When you open or share such a link, those selections travel as part of the web address — they are sent to our hosting provider as part of the page request, and they can appear in the standard server logs described below, exactly like any other URL you visit. Nothing else is attached: the link contains no name, account, or identifier, and anyone you share it with sees only the hardware selections in it. If you would rather not have a selection in a URL, just use the tools without copying the address bar — the calculators work the same.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. If third-party advertising or analytics are ever added, this policy will be updated before they are switched on, and the additions will be named here.

Affiliate links

Some upgrade recommendations may link to retailers such as Amazon under affiliate programs (see the disclosure on the About page). Clicking one takes you to the retailer's site, where that retailer's own privacy policy applies and the retailer may use cookies to attribute the visit. We do not receive your name, address, or payment details from retailers — only aggregate commission reporting.

Hosting logs

Like almost every website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and reliability. We do not use these logs to build profiles of visitors, and we do not sell or rent any visitor information to anyone.

Children

This site is a hardware reference tool not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, through the site itself.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes — especially anything involving data collection — will not apply retroactively to visits made under this version.
